The Guwol 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center and the Guwol 2-dong Community Social Security Council in Namdong-gu, Incheon, announced on the 29th that they held the ‘Happy Package, Hope Package’ (행복꾸러미, 희망꾸러미) event on the 25th, providing snacks including chicken and pizza to five local child welfare facilities. Sponsored with 1.2 million won by the council, the event is a child rights promotion project that directly incorporated children’s input.

Snacks Selected via Children’s Survey — Chicken and Pizza Delivered Directly
The ‘Happy Package, Hope Package’ event is a child rights promotion initiative led by Guwol 2-dong to build a city where children are respected. The snack items — including chicken and pizza — were selected based directly on the results of a survey conducted among local children in the first half of this year.
The five child welfare facilities targeted by this initiative are Narae Community Child Center (나래지역아동센터), Huimang Onsaemiro Community Child Center (희망온새미로지역아동센터), Namdong Community Child Center (남동지역아동센터), Aisarang Community Child Center (아이사랑지역아동센터), and Huimang Children’s Group Home (희망아동공동생활가정). The Guwol 2-dong Community Social Security Council sponsored a total of 1.2 million won to lead the event.
Chairperson: ‘Seeing Their Smiles Made Me Happy — We Will Not Spare Any Support’
Kim Bong-seon, chairperson of the Guwol 2-dong Community Social Security Council, who attended the event, said, ‘It makes me happy to see the children smiling as they enjoy the snacks we provided again this year.’
Chairperson Kim added, ‘Our Guwol 2-dong Community Social Security Council will continue to take a sustained interest in the children and spare no effort in providing support whenever it is needed.’
Beyond Snack Support: Wide Range of Welfare Programs Including Asset-Building Funds and Side Dish Vouchers
In addition to providing snacks to child welfare facilities, the Guwol 2-dong Community Social Security Council continues to operate programs supporting children’s healthy development, including asset-building fund sponsorships.
The council also runs a broad range of community welfare initiatives, including a side dish voucher support program and the Guwol 2-dong Neighbor Care Team (구월2네 이웃돌봄단).
