iH Holds Volunteer Free Meal Service for ‘Red Rice Truck of Love’

Incheon Metropolitan City Urban Development Corporation (iH) carried out a free meal volunteer service called the “Red Rice Truck of Love” on the 28th in the area of Juan Station’s south square, with 22 executives and employees taking part. The “Red Rice Truck of Love” is a volunteer activity that iH has carried out together with the Love Rice Sharing Headquarters since 2023, providing meals to vulnerable groups such as the homeless and elderly people living alone, putting warm sharing into practice. Despite the sudden cold weather, the iH executives and employees who took part in the event did their best in every task, from setting up booths to serving meals and cleaning up afterward.

In particular, starting this year, iH increased the volunteer activity from twice a year to three times a year, expanding its hand of sharing to the local community. Cho Geum-suk, head of iH’s Management Innovation Headquarters, said, “Sharing activities with the local community are a meaningful occasion to connect emotionally with the neighbors around us,” adding, “iH will continue to steadily carry out activities that allow us to coexist with underprivileged groups who need help.”

Meanwhile, in addition to this event, iH is carrying out various social contribution activities as a leading public institution in Incheon, including the Dream Bookshop project, the Vitality project, scholarship programs for low-income students, briquette-sharing drives, and support programs for multicultural families and people with disabilities.
