Posted Article No. 51124

The Ganseok 3-dong Residents’ Autonomous Council (간석3동 주민자치회; Chair Yang Young-su) announced on June 29 that it will hold a neighborhood agenda pre-vote from June 29 to July 10 ahead of the 6th Residents’ General Assembly scheduled for July 15. Voting is offered both online and offline so that residents unable to attend the General Assembly in person can still make their voices heard, and the results will be reflected in the 2027 community self-governance plan.

Five Neighborhood Agenda Items on the Ballot — Including Azalea Garden and Youth Environmental Activity

Five neighborhood agenda items were identified this year through resident consultations and subcommittee meetings: ▲ Creating an Azalea Garden (진달래 동산 만들기), ▲ Our Neighborhood Video Contest, ▲ The Most Beautiful Photo of My Life, ▲ Local Culture Exploration Writing Contest, and ▲ Building a Clean Ganseok 3-dong Together with Youth.

Residents may review the details of each agenda item and cast their vote for the initiative they consider most necessary. The pre-vote results will be combined with on-site votes at the July 15 General Assembly for a final tally.

6th Residents’ General Assembly on July 15 — Selected Agenda Items to Be Pursued as 2027 Projects

The 6th Ganseok 3-dong Residents’ General Assembly will be held on July 15, featuring a report on Residents’ Autonomous Council activities, an announcement of the 2027 neighborhood agenda items, a sharing of pre-vote results, and a variety of resident participation programs. Neighborhood agenda items selected through the General Assembly will subsequently be carried out as community self-governance projects.

Chair Yang Young-su stated, ‘The Residents’ General Assembly is the most important process in community self-governance, where residents directly decide what projects their neighborhood needs,’ adding, ‘We ask for your keen interest and participation so that the diverse opinions of our residents can be broadly reflected.’
