Recipients included basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty households, elderly people living alone, and other vulnerable residents in need of healthy food. Committee members visited each household to deliver the corn, explain ‘heatwave response guidelines,’ and check on residents’ living conditions and health.

Council chairperson Baek Yeong-sil said, “We prepared this donation to share both seasonal food and warmth with our neighbors.” She added, “We hope this support not only helps with nutrition but also serves as an opportunity to build a stronger welfare safety net,” and continued, “We will keep developing tailored welfare services for each season so that no one in Ongnyeon 1-dong is left behind.”
