Located in the first basement level of the Michuhol-gu Youth Center (239-2 Hagik-dong), Link Zone is a space designed to reflect the play and cultural needs of young people. It was created with the aim of letting teenagers rest comfortably in a safe environment while fostering a responsible, self-directed culture in which they observe the rules of use on their own.

The space is stocked with a range of facilities popular among young people, including a Nintendo Switch and a PS5, as well as board games, claw machines, Wi-Fi and a charging zone.

As the center has recently begun promoting the space to nearby elementary schools, the number of teenagers visiting Link Zone has steadily grown. The center plans to continue its guidance and publicity efforts so that more young people can use the space.

Link Zone is staffed at all times to help teenagers use the space safely and comfortably. Staff members explain the rules of use and support visitors as they use the space, backing up young people as they build a healthy, self-directed culture of use on their own.

During the summer vacation in July and August, a variety of special programs will be offered, including a ‘horror escape room game,’ a ‘Mario Kart tournament’ and a ‘keycap-making’ session. Through these, the center plans to provide teenagers with opportunities for wholesome leisure and cultural activities.

A center official said, “Teenagers are using the space independently while observing Link Zone’s rules of use well,” adding, “We will continue to do our best in operating the space so that even more young people can rest in a safe environment and experience a variety of culture.”

Link Zone is open every week from Tuesday to Saturday, excluding public holidays, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. For further details on using the facilities, contact the Michuhol-gu Youth Center (☎ 032-715-4676).
