Incheon’s Jung-gu District will officially launch and begin operating the “Yeongjong-gu official website” on July 1, the inauguration day of Yeongjong-gu, a new district of Incheon Metropolitan City created under the reorganization of the administrative system. The aim is to provide an online channel through which residents can access administrative services from the very first day of the new autonomous district, thereby reducing confusion in the early stages of its launch.

The website has been designed as a key communication channel that allows residents to check the administrative information they need in the fastest and most convenient way, without having to visit the district office in person. Yeongjong-gu said that anyone can access the site and use its services starting on July 1, the day the new autonomous district sets sail.
The functions provided are closely tied to daily life. Residents can use a community map and look up customized welfare services tailored to each individual, and they can also make online reservations for health promotion services. Beyond a simple notice board, the site has the character of a comprehensive administrative platform that brings welfare, health and daily-life information together in one place.
Yeongjong-gu focused on minimizing the confusion that residents may experience while using various administrative services in the early days of the new autonomous district’s launch. To that end, the site was built with intuitive menu organization and with convenience prioritized so that anyone can access it easily.
The web address is “www.yeongjong.go.kr,” and it can be used immediately from the day it opens on various devices, including PCs and mobile phones. A notable feature is that users can access it right away without any separate procedure.
A district official said, “The website is the first gateway through which residents come into closest contact with Yeongjong-gu’s administrative services,” adding, “We will continue to develop it into a digital communication space that is the easiest and most convenient to use, by actively reflecting residents’ voices going forward.”
Meanwhile, the existing Incheon Jung-gu website (www.icjg.go.kr) will cease operation as of 9 a.m. on July 1. As the online administrative channel switches to the new address at the same time as Yeongjong-gu’s inauguration, residents of the Yeongjong area can use administrative services through the new official website after July 1.
As the new autonomous district’s first administrative infrastructure makes its debut online first, the opening of this website is a symbolic measure marking the start of the Yeongjong-gu era and is expected to serve as a foundation for expanding digital administrative services in the future.
