The Yeonsu Youth Center said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the college’s University Job Plus Center on August 6 at the center’s international conference room, aimed at “strengthening the capabilities of local adolescents and young adults and supporting their career and employment paths.”

The agreement was designed to combine the expertise and infrastructure of both institutions to give young people real opportunities for career exploration and job-readiness training.

Under the partnership, the two organizations agreed to build a multi-pronged system of cooperation, including jointly developing and running career and employment support programs, sharing instructors, facilities and equipment, exchanging information and promoting related projects, and identifying new community-linked collaborative initiatives.

As the first tangible result of the partnership, the two sides will jointly operate a “customized capability-building education program for adolescents and young adults.” Drawing on the job-center’s expertise in career and employment support and the youth center’s experience running youth programs, the initiative will offer training tailored to local needs, with plans to keep expanding career and employment support programs for young people through continued cooperation.

A Yeonsu Youth Center official said, “This agreement will be an important stepping stone for local adolescents and young people to build practical capabilities amid a rapidly changing employment environment,” adding, “We will keep working with specialized institutions in the region to expand customized programs that support the growth of young people.”
