Resident participation events including the Guro Residents’ Award ceremony and a club arts festival, along with celebratory performances by singers
‘Anyangcheon Light Festival’ to run at the Anyangcheon Ecological Flower Garden from September 18 to 30
Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) will hold the ‘2026 Guro G Festival (Asian Cultural Festival)’ for two days from September 19 to 20 along the Anyangcheon Stream.

Now in its 23rd year, this year’s festival aims for a ‘9-NO Guro’ free of plastic, carbon, food waste, accidents and more, and will be operated as a safe and eco-friendly festival.
On September 18, the day before the festival, opening ceremonies and events for various affiliated festivals will take place one after another. Starting with the ‘Garden Festa Opening Ceremony’ at 5 p.m., the ‘French Cultural Festival Opening Ceremony’ at 7 p.m. and the ‘Anyangcheon Light Festival Lighting Ceremony’ at 8:30 p.m. will follow in turn.

On the 19th, the first day of the festival, resident participation events will be held, including △ the 36th Guro Residents’ Award ceremony, △ a presentation of resident autonomy programs and △ the Guro-gu Fourth Industrial Revolution Creative Convergence Contest. The official opening ceremony will be held on the Anyangcheon main stage from 6:30 p.m., followed by celebratory performances by singers Lee Jae-hoon and Kim Hyun-jung.
On the 20th, the ‘Guro Carbon Zero Walk’ at 7:30 a.m. will be followed at 2 p.m. by the ‘Guro Club Arts Festival,’ featuring local clubs from a variety of fields such as instrumental music and dance. From 7 p.m., the ‘TOP 10 Music Show (JTV)’ will take place, featuring performers including Park Seo-jin, Jin Sung, Ahn Sung-hoon and My Jin. After the performance, fireworks will light up the Anyangcheon waterfront to bring the festival to a close.
There will also be plenty of food and entertainment. During the festival, an eco-friendly food market will be open at Anyangcheon Football Field A from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., while a food truck zone offering Asian cuisine will be set up in the water play area. In addition, the festival is packed with diverse cultural experience programs, including △ a flea market, △ a photo zone at the Ecological Flower Garden, △ garden talk shows and garden busking, △ pop-up book rentals, and a special performance by a French troupe commemorating the 21st anniversary of exchanges with sister city Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.

Convenience and rest areas have also been prepared so that visitors can enjoy the festival more comfortably and at leisure. A ‘Cooling Zone’ with a water mist spray system to beat the heat will be installed at Guro Picnic Garden, a ‘Family Rest Zone’ equipped with sunshades and beanbags will be set up at the inline skating rink, and a ‘Camping Rest Zone’ will be operated at the Ecological Flower Garden.
Anyone can freely take part in the festival on site without prior registration, and the performances and viewing programs are free of charge. However, the ‘Ssingssing Cart 959’ mobility service and some hands-on programs are offered for a fee.

Guro-gu Mayor Jang In-hong said, “I hope the Guro G Festival gives residents a chance to connect with one another and enjoy a time of rest and healing in their daily lives,” adding, “I hope you will create happy memories with your family and neighbors along the beautiful Anyangcheon Stream.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Light Festival,’ to be held for 13 days from September 18 to 30 at the Anyangcheon Ecological Flower Garden, will present visitors with a beautiful nighttime landscape through spectacular lighting displays.
