Posted Article No. 61240

Listening to early-stage management difficulties in new town development and commercial district formation, sharing awareness of the need for continued financial support, discussing region-tailored support measures including the Foundation’s special guarantee for commercial district revitalization. The Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation (Chairman Lee Bu-hyun, hereinafter the “Foundation”) announced that Council Member Choi Byung-eun (Democratic Party, Seohae District) engaged in on-site communication to resolve the management difficulties of local small business owners by serving as honorary branch manager for a day at the Foundation’s Seohae Branch.

During this activity, Council Member Choi Byung-eun reviewed the Foundation’s major support programs and operational status, directly participated in the guarantee consultation process with visiting customers, and listened to on-site opinions focused on the early-stage management difficulties experienced by small business owners in new town development areas. “In new town development areas, small business owners face no small amount of difficulty as the commercial district takes shape. I hope that support tailored to regional management conditions will lead to the stable settlement of small business owners and the revitalization of local commercial districts.”

Council Member Choi Byung-eun said this, emphasizing that since new towns take time for population inflow and commercial district establishment, there are considerable practical difficulties such as securing initial operating funds and bearing fixed costs. In particular, Council Member Choi Byung-eun shared the view with Foundation officials that continued financial support must be sustained until the commercial district becomes firmly established, and exchanged specific opinions on region-tailored support measures including the Foundation’s special guarantee for commercial district revitalization.

This stems from the judgment that if financial support is not provided in a timely manner to small business owners in vulnerable management conditions, the risk of business closure increases and could even lead to a downturn in the local commercial district. Meanwhile, Foundation Chairman Lee Bu-hyun stated, “Through this appointment of an honorary branch manager, we will work to enhance the effectiveness of our guarantee policy based on on-site opinions, and strive for the management stability of small business owners and the revitalization of local commercial districts.”
