The Jemulpo-gu Culture and Sports Center in Incheon (District Mayor Kim Chan-jin) announced that it will hold “Summer Festa with Byun Jin-seop” at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, as this year’s installment of “Summer Festa,” a summer brand concert that has become a signature event for the district every August.

Summer Festa is the center’s signature summer concert, known for greeting audiences with refreshing music to beat the heat. Past performers have included Lee Eun-mi and Park Wan-kyu, and the event has been recognized as a chance to enjoy a vacation-like atmosphere with music in the heart of the city.
This year, Byun Jin-seop — Korea’s first million-selling singer, often called a “ballad legend” — will take the stage for a solo performance.
At the concert, Byun will perform beloved hits spanning generations, including “To You Once Again,” “My Wish List,” “To a Lady” and “Like Birds,” backed by a live band. The show is set to combine the analog sentiment of the 1980s and ’90s with polished stage production.
“For the citizens and audiences who look forward to August every year, we designed this year’s stage to carry even deeper emotion and cooler energy,” said Jemulpo-gu District Mayor Kim Chan-jin. “I hope everyone can shake off the stresses of daily life with Byun Jin-seop’s sweet voice on Aug. 8 and create unforgettable summer memories.”
Tickets can be booked through Nticket (1588-2341) and Nolticket (1544-1555). Admission is 50,000 won for the first and second floors and 30,000 won for the third floor. More details on the performance are available on the website of the Jemulpo-gu Culture and Sports Center (☎032-772-7700).
Having established itself as the district’s signature summer concert, this year’s event is expected to serve as a musical getaway in the heart of the city and help expand local residents’ access to cultural experiences.
