Guro-gu Makes It Simple with ‘Government24’… ‘2026 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey’ Begins on the 20th

Simple with a smartphone... Submit location information after identity verification on the Government24 app

Non-face-to-face survey conducted first from July 20 to September 7, followed by concurrent on-site visits

Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) will conduct the ‘2026 Non-Face-to-Face Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey’ from July 20 to September 7 to verify whether resident registration records match actual residence.

The survey targets all households. To minimize inconvenience to residents amid the growing number of dual-income and single-person households, the district will first conduct a ‘non-face-to-face survey,’ followed by on-site visits limited to households that do not participate.

Participation is simple. Residents need only install and open the Government24 app on their smartphone, complete identity verification under the ‘2026 Non-Face-to-Face Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey’ menu, review their household information, and submit their location information. However, because the system verifies consistency with the registered address based on the device’s GPS (location information), residents must participate from within the resident registration address where they actually live.

Households that do not take part in the non-face-to-face survey will subsequently be visited in person. In addition, households that include priority survey subjects—such as those aged 100 or older, individuals whose whereabouts have been unknown for five years or longer, suspected deceased persons, socially vulnerable groups receiving welfare support, and children with prolonged unexcused absences or of school age who have not enrolled—will also be subject to on-site visits regardless of whether they participated in the non-face-to-face survey.

Through this survey, Guro-gu plans to improve the accuracy of resident registration information and lay the groundwork for more efficient administrative services.

Guro-gu Mayor Jang In-hong said, “The resident registration fact-finding survey is an essential procedure for providing residents with accurate administrative services,” adding, “Even if you are busy, we ask that you take part conveniently through the non-face-to-face survey.”
