Incheon’s Yeongjong-gu District (Chief Sohn Hwa-jeong) announced on the 11th that it has sent out payment notices to resident tax payers in the district as part of the August 2026 resident tax payment month, urging them to file and pay by the 31st.

Those subject to payment are individual heads of household who had their address registered in Yeongjong-gu as of July 1 this year, as well as corporations and individual business owners with a place of business in the district. Individual business owners, however, are included only if their value-added tax tax base for the previous year was 80 million won or more.
The resident tax levied by the district this year totals 61,440 cases worth 2.802 billion won. Of this, the individual portion accounts for 53,618 cases worth 536 million won, while the business portion accounts for 7,822 cases worth 2.266 billion won.
This represents an increase of 183 million won compared with last year’s total levy of 2.619 billion won. The district attributed the increase to a growing inflow of population as well as a rise in the number of businesses with a total floor area exceeding 330 square meters.
A variety of payment methods are available. Payments can be conveniently made at financial institution counters nationwide, via automated teller machines (CD/ATM), the WETAX integrated local tax payment system, virtual account transfer, mobile banking applications, the automatic response telephone service (ARS, ☎142-211), or in person at the Yeongjong-gu District Office’s Tax Division 1.
A Yeongjong-gu District official said, “We ask that payments be made within the deadline to avoid disadvantages such as additional charges for non-payment,” adding, “Please pay in advance, as access to the payment system and processing may be delayed on the final day.”
