According to the district on the 22nd, hy’s Yeongjong branch (Branch Manager Shin Jae-seop) donated 27 boxes of fermented red ginseng products worth 1 million won to the district.

The donation was arranged to help neighbors facing economic hardship spend the upcoming Chuseok holiday in good health and high spirits, and to help spread a culture of sharing within the community.

The donation ceremony was held on the 18th in the mayor’s office at Yeongjong-gu District Office, attended by officials including Mayor Son Hwa-jeong and Branch Manager Shin Jae-seop.

Branch Manager Shin Jae-seop said, “Ahead of Chuseok, our nation’s great traditional holiday, we put together this gift with the hope that neighbors in need can take care of their health and gain vitality,” adding, “As a health partner to the community, we will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that share warmth with local residents.”

Mayor Son Hwa-jeong said, “We are truly grateful to hy’s Yeongjong branch for not forgetting our neighbors even in these difficult times and delivering this precious gift containing immunity and health benefits,” adding, “We will carefully and safely distribute the fermented red ginseng products provided to vulnerable groups who are in greater need of health care.”

She went on to emphasize, “During the upcoming Chuseok holiday, Yeongjong-gu District will carry out meticulous welfare administration reaching every corner so that not a single resident is overlooked or left out in terms of health, doing our utmost so that all residents can spend a Chuseok that is both physically and emotionally secure and happy.”

The district plans to safely distribute the donated goods to vulnerable households in urgent need of health care, and intends to use the holiday as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with local businesses to help close gaps in the welfare safety net.
