The Incheon Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Chan-dae) announced that it will participate in the ‘2026 International Quantum Industry Expo,’ to be held over three days from Wednesday the 9th to Friday the 11th at Hall B of COEX in Seoul.

Held for the first time this year, the event is a specialized B2B business venue bringing together key players from the quantum industry, academia, and research at home and abroad. Various side events, including the ‘Global Quantum Summit 2026’ and the ‘Quantum Tech IR Pitching Day,’ will run concurrently during the event.

At the expo, Incheon will join hands with Gangwon State and North Chungcheong Province to jointly operate an integrated promotion hall in a form of super-regional cooperation. The plan is to link the resources of each city and province at the joint hall while highlighting Incheon’s own quantum infrastructure and corporate support policies.

Incheon will spotlight its research infrastructure using IBM quantum computers and promote its environment linked to the Songdo bio cluster as well as its startup and incubation platform based on public funds. The city will also introduce in detail its core fostering policies, including ▲demand-based quantum technology demonstration and consulting ▲quantum technology adoption and transformation (QX) and demonstration of public safety that citizens can experience firsthand ▲discovery and cultivation of promising companies and commercialization support.

Such infrastructure and policies go beyond mere promotion of achievements; by attracting quantum-related companies and research institutions to the region, they can serve as a foothold for expanding jobs and industrial foundations, making them relevant to citizens’ lives. During the event, the city plans to carry out tailored promotion for domestic and international research institutions and corporate officials visiting the hall, and to expand corporate attraction and business networking.

Kim Sang-gil, head of the city’s Future Industry Division, said, ‘This exhibition will be a good opportunity to imprint on domestic and international markets the differentiated quantum industry infrastructure and ecosystem competitiveness that Incheon possesses,’ adding, ‘We will do our utmost to provide policy support and expand the foundation so that highly capable quantum-related companies and research institutions can grow with Incheon at the center.’
