Seongdong-gu open 'Hyosarang Sowonseongchwi' programme, giving alone elderly a special day

- Seoul's Seongdong-gu will fully launch the 'Hyosarang Sowonseongchwi' (Filial Love Wish Fulfilment) programme, which grants wishes of solitary elderly residents aged 70 and over.
- In its third year, the programme is run by the Seongdong Senior Welfare Center, and targets elderly people living alone who are basic livelihood recipients or in the near-poor bracket.
- Applications run from 29 May to 20 June, and after screening, selected participants will have their wish-fulfilment projects begin from July.
